Introduction Exercise

Objectives

The Introduction Exercise has two objectives:

1. To demonstrate your ability to communicate via e-mail.
2. To identify major Web Server software

Research

1. Search the Web for Web Server software and find five products and their home pages. List the name of each product and the URL in an email message.
2. Search the Web to find the top five Web Server products currently in use. List the five products and provide the URL where you found the rankings.
3. Finally, include any questions or comments you may have.

Send your email message to jcarrier@carriereducation.com

Place WEB-230 Web Server Survey in the subject line.

Be sure to include your name, course, and 7-digit STUDENT ID in your email message.

Be sure to send a cc of the submittal to yourself. If you don't receive your copy then I probably will not receive a copy either.

Finally, be sure to save your work in case it becomes lost or is corrupted during transmission. If there is a problem, I will request a copy of your backup.

Grading Criteria

• Each answer is worth 50 points.

• Failure to properly identify yourself will result in a 5 point deduction.

I will reply to confirm receipt and post your grade on the Web site within one week.
