"In-house" Web Server Assignment

Objective

This project will demonstrate your ability to work as a team to research and select the products necessary to implement an in-house Web server. Your goal is to select appropriate products and assess the costs to see if it is cost effective for your business. At this point, you are not concerned about the cost of hiring a Web Server Administrator, just the necessary components.

Initially, you are expecting customers to retrieve approximately 2000 Web pages per day. Pages average approximately 20Kb in file size. Allow for growth of approximately 10% per year.

At the end of the project, you will present your findings to the class using a PowerPoint presentation.
